AMSTERDAM 9 July 2018
First off, I want to thank all of you for the love and support you guys gave me over the past week! As you might have noticed, I have been off the radar to rest and to process everything that happened. Your kind words and well-wishings really helped me a lot. :) I just came back from the hospital and received some more info from the doctors that kept us all waiting about my leg.
Unfortunately, I contracted a tibial plateau fracture, which is a nasty break in the upper part of my lower leg, during my scooter accident. I need surgery to be able to heal properly, which is scheduled on Thursday July 12th.
After surgery, I need to rest for at least 6 to 8 weeks before we can look into taking new steps in my revalidation. Therefore, I’m very sad to announce I won’t be playing any of the announced shows up till the 23rd of August. I’ll keep you updated about my surgery and recovery. When there is news to share, you guys will be the first to know. ♥
I can’t put into words how sad I am about canceling these shows. I am deeply sorry for all my fans that were looking forward to seeing me and the band live. My team and I are working really hard with promotors to reschedule the shows to a date that fits my recovery period.
All I can do now is take my rest and hope on a smooth and fluent recovery. I can’t wait to be back and rock the stage again!!!
Much love, Sam Feldt, ♥
It was going to be a packed summer for Sam Feldt with festivals like Tomorrowland(mainstage), Parookaville, Sziget, Sensation Bangkok, Nature One and Black Sheep Festival. The festivals will release separate statements about fitting respectable and fitting replacements in his timeslots accordingly. The music releases that where scheduled won’t be affected by the accident, however.
